EXCHANGE POLICY


At Vegan Basics, we take pride in offering high-quality, handmade shoes that are crafted with care under a Made-to-Order (MTO) process. Due to the artisanal nature of our products, minor variations or slight imperfections are natural and not considered defects.

We understand that you may occasionally wish to exchange your product. Our team is happy to assist you with the process. Please carefully read our Exchange Policy below:

👉 Important Points:

  • Since we follow an MTO process and the shoes are handmade, if there is any production defect or minor issue, exchange is possible, but refunds will not be provided.
  • Customized products cannot be exchanged.
  • Products purchased during sale or discount periods are eligible for one-time exchange only, and the customer will have to ship the product to us at their own expense.
  • Exchange requests must be raised within 5 days of delivery. For example, if the product is delivered on the 13th, your request should be submitted by the 18th (including weekends/holidays).
  • Our logistic partner will attempt reverse pickup within 2–3 business days of request confirmation. Maximum 2 pickup attempts will be made. If both fail, the customer must send the product to our office address at their own cost.
  • Once we receive the product, our team will perform a quality check to ensure the product is unused, undamaged, and has all original tags and packaging.
  • If the product fails the quality check (used, tampered, tagless, etc.), the exchange will be denied and the product will be returned to the customer.
  • Once approved, the exchanged product will be shipped within 2–3 business days.
  • Shipping for exchange is free (includes both pickup and reshipping).
  • Only one exchange is allowed per order, and it must be for the same product in a different size. Any price difference will be forfeited, regardless of price increase or decrease.
  • If the wrong product was delivered by us, we will replace it even if the “one-time exchange” limit has been exceeded.
  • Once an exchange is initiated, it cannot be converted into a refund or return request.

RETURN & REFUND POLICY
At Vegan Basics, we want you to feel confident in your purchase. However, due to the MTO nature of our handmade shoes, we do not offer refunds except in special cases approved at our discretion.

👉 Key Guidelines:

  • Products bought on discount/sale and customized products are non-returnable and non-refundable.
  • Returns must be requested within 5 days of delivery.
  • Return approval for reasons related to product features already mentioned on the website will be at Vegan Basics’ sole discretion.
  • Reverse pickup will be attempted within 2–3 business days of confirmation (maximum 2 attempts). If both fail, the customer must courier the product to our office at their own cost.
  • Once the returned product is received, it will go through a quality check.
  • If the product is found used, damaged, tagless, or tampered, it will be returned to the customer and refund will be denied.
  • Upon successful approval, the refund will be processed within 3 business days.
  • Refund will be done to the original payment method. In case of Cash on Delivery, refund will be via bank transfer (NEFT). Customer must share accurate bank details.
  • A deduction of ₹150 will be made from the refund towards shipping, handling, and reverse logistics charges.
